ALPACA TREKKING

60 minute experience trekking with our alpacas across the beautiful Wetley Moor Common learning about, meeting and walking our animals, with plenty of photo opportunities (including a health and safety talk). Suitable for all ages.

£25.00 - Child with an Alpaca (Ages 8*-15)
£15.00 - Adult without an Alpaca (16+)
£10.00 - Child without an Alpaca (Ages 3*-15)

£65.00 - Family Special Offer ( 2 Adults & 2 Children Sharing 2 Alpacas)
*Ages 8-15 can walk an alpaca but must be accompanied by an adult without an alpaca.
** Under 3's can join the walk for free but must be in a carrier as the common is not suitable for pushchairs

DO ACCOMPANYING ADULTS NEED A TICKET?
All that wish to attend the farm and visit the alpacas must have a ticket either with or without an alpaca. Children under 16 with alpacas must be supervised by an adult (without an alpaca). 2 children with alpacas can be supervised by one adult without.
CAN WE BRING OUR DOG?
Unfortunately, although our alpacas are quite used to our little farm sausage dog Douglas, the alpacas can be quite scared of larger dogs and dogs that they don't know. For this reason please leave your little fur babies at home for this experience.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please make sure that you wear appropriate footwear, in the summer trainers would be fine but over the winter months the moor gets very wet and boggy and the most suitable footwear will be wellies. We have plenty to borrow if you don't own wellies. Otherwise please dress appropriately for the weather.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
If there are small showers we will still head out on the walk so please bring your waterproofs. During the winter months the alpacas have a full fleece to keep them warm and dry so don't mind a bit of rain. If the weather is torrential we appreciate this may take the shine off the experience and so we will usually offer the chance to reschedule.

CAN WE CHOOSE WHICH ALPACA WE MEET?
We like to be able to offer you the best experience and so if there is a specific alpaca that you just LOVE send us a message and we can try and accommodate you with that particular alpaca on your experience.
IS THE MEET AND GREET SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIRS AND PUSHCHAIRS?
Our car park and arena where we host our meet and greet sessions is wheelchair and pushchair friendly and so this experience is suitable for guests with these needs.
IS THIS EXPERIENCE SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?
Our meet and greet experiences are better suited for families with small children as the children will be able to walk the alpacas in our secure arena supervised by our experience hosts.
IS THERE A TOILET ON SITE?
We now have an off grid composting toilet on site for our guests to use. Please note this is a basic toilet facility and does not have baby changing facilities.
