OUR STORY

ABOUT WETLEY MOOR

From three alpacas and a simple idea to a growing family-run farm experience in the heart of Staffordshire.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Wetley Moor Alpacas began with three alpacas, a love of animals and a simple idea — to create personal, memorable experiences that allowed people to spend real time getting to know them.

Founded by mother-and-daughter team Ruby and Fay, what started as a small family venture has grown considerably over the years.

Today, Wetley Moor is home to a much bigger family of animals and offers everything from alpaca and donkey trekking to seasonal events, animal experiences, educational visits, parties, weddings and private group experiences.

But as we've grown, the idea at the heart of Wetley Moor has stayed the same: small, personal experiences where our animals, their welfare and our visitors come first.

MORE THAN JUST ALPACAS

MEET THE WETLEY MOOR FAMILY

The alpacas may have started it all, but these days they share the farm with quite a few other characters.

OUR HOME

A SPECIAL PLACE TO CALL HOME

We're lucky to be based on the edge of Wetley Moor Common in the Staffordshire Moorlands, surrounded by open countryside and a landscape that's as much a part of the experience as the animals themselves.

Our visitors can step away from everyday life, spend time outdoors and experience the farm at a relaxed pace.

We're proud to call Wetley Moor home and take our responsibility to care for the surrounding landscape, wildlife and community seriously.
