BECOME AN ANIMAL KEEPER
Pull on your wellies and discover what really goes into looking after the animals at Wetley Moor.
During this hands-on two-hour experience, young animal lovers will work alongside our team and get involved in some of the everyday jobs that keep our animals happy and healthy.

From preparing feeds and mucking out to grooming, handling and learning about animal welfare, this isn't just about meeting the animals — it's a chance to experience what it's actually like to care for them.

With alpacas, donkeys, ponies, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and more calling Wetley Moor home, there's always plenty to do!

Every Animal Keeper Experience is a little different. Activities depend on the animals, season and jobs that need doing that day — because that's all part of working with animals!
PERFECT FOR YOUNG ANIMAL LOVERS
Whether they're animal obsessed, dreaming of becoming a vet, considering a career working with animals or simply love being outdoors, this experience gives young people the opportunity to learn through doing.

2 HOUR HANDS ON EXPERIENCE

Child Animal Keeper (ages 8–16) — £25
Full participation in the two-hour Animal Keeper Experience.
Adult Animal Keeper — £25
Want to get stuck in too? Adults are very welcome to take part alongside the children.
Supervisory Adult — £10
For adults accompanying a child but not participating in the keeper activities.
