WALK ON THE WILD SIDE OF STAFFORDSHIRE
Head out onto beautiful Wetley Moor for a memorable adventure with one of our much-loved alpacas or donkeys.
You'll be carefully partnered with your animal before one of our experienced Walk Leaders guides you across the moor, sharing stories about their individual personalities, animal care, local wildlife and the landscape we call home.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Check in with our friendly team at the cabin and gift shop, where complimentary wellies are available if the moor is looking particularly muddy.
Once everyone has arrived, you'll meet your Walk Leader and the animals in our arena. Following a friendly safety briefing, we'll carefully partner you with an alpaca or donkey based on their temperament, friendship groups and your individual needs.
Then it's time to head out onto Wetley Moor Common.
Your trek usually lasts between 60 and 75 minutes, with plenty of time to enjoy the landscape, get to know your animal and hear about their personality, behaviour and care from our knowledgeable Walk Leaders.
We'll stop for photographs along the way before returning to the farm, where you can finish your experience with animal feeding or a visit to our Small Animal Petting Shed.

PASSIONATE ABOUT OUR ANIMALS & OUR MOOR
Our Walk Leaders aren't simply guides – they're an important part of the Wetley Moor family.
All Walk Leaders complete formal training in animal handling, welfare and husbandry alongside First Aid training.
Several of our team live around Wetley Moor themselves and love sharing their knowledge of its wildlife, landscape and changing seasons with our guests.

CAN WE CHOOSE WHICH ALPACA WE MEET?
We like to be able to offer you the best experience and so if there is a specific alpaca that you just LOVE send us a message and we can try and accommodate you with that particular alpaca on your experience.
IS THE MEET AND GREET SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIRS AND PUSHCHAIRS?
Our car park and arena where we host our meet and greet sessions is wheelchair and pushchair friendly and so this experience is suitable for guests with these needs.
IS THIS EXPERIENCE SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?
Our meet and greet experiences are better suited for families with small children as the children will be able to walk the alpacas in our secure arena supervised by our experience hosts.
IS THERE A TOILET ON SITE?
We now have an off grid composting toilet on site for our guests to use. Please note this is a basic toilet facility and does not have baby changing facilities.
